HAVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Our most important asset on earth is to have a personal communication with God.
This is the foundation for living a purposeful life. Without hearing from our maker, we will not even know why we are on earth.
We have for many years left direct communication with God to pastors and waited for them to act as middlemen between us and God. But God is saying that only those who can hear Him are His true disciples.
John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
This verse is very clear. If we cannot hear Him, we cannot be His sheep. A sheep can only survive this wicked world when there is a clear communication with the shepherd.
God is more willing to speak to us than we are willing to hear from Him. We go to God in prayer like a radio broadcaster. We do not expect feedback from Him. A spiritually deaf person is way worse than a physically blind, deaf and dumb person.
To start to hear from God, we must first get close to Him. It is only a friend that will share the deep things of life with you. Nobody shares his or her will with strangers. So, before we can know God’s will for our lives, we must be having a personal relationship with Him.
To have a personal relationship with a person, there must be a concerted effort to build a relationship. You must be willing to show commitment. You cannot remember God only on Sundays and expect Him to take you seriously.
Covenant Time
To have a personal relationship with God, we must start keeping covenant time in His presence. This is the time you agreed to meet with Him daily. It must be daily and at the same time. That is why it is called a covenant time. It is not just a quiet time that you observe whenever you are free. God does not joke with covenant time.
God will not relate with those who meet Him at their leisure the same way He will treat those who meet with Him as a matter of covenant.
When you start keeping covenant time, God starts to speak to you through dreams, trans and visions. He will start to show you deep things about your life. He will start to give you clear directions on your life.
You may not understand most of your revelations initially but because God knows that you have someone who can interpret for you, He will give you anyways. Gradually, you will start to understand them.
Immediately you start keeping covenant time, God starts to feed you with revelations. Most of these dreams will be strange and may not make any meaning to you, but they have meanings.
Once you start keeping covenant time, you are automatically in Holy Ghost School. This is a school where the Holy Spirit teaches us by Himself.
John 14:26 “But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.”
A lot of people see themselves in a school in the dream with blue and white uniform when they start this school. People in this school are protected against the torment of the evil one.
When God gives you revelations and you do not seek interpretations from your discipler, He may stop communicating with you. Nobody likes to talk to people in the language they do not understand.
For us in Canada Christian Community, I will be glad to help us with interpretations of our revelations. Even you will know that this is not your regular dream.
A lot of lives have been wasted because they had no communication with their helper. God told Joseph to take Mary and child Jesus and flee to Egypt. But many other parents who did not get that revelation, they lost their sons in the wicked hands of King Herod.
Matthew 2:13 “Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
That was how God saved child Jesus through divine revelation.
Many marriages have collapsed because couples do not have a personal relationship with God. When Joseph was contemplating a separation from Mary because she was pregnant, God gave him a revelation through a dream.
Matthew 1:19-20 “Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.
“But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
A lot is going on in the world today and it is very risky to not have a conversational relationship with God. This is the gap God has used Holy Ghost School to close.
In HGS, we hear from God daily. we do not run from pillar to post looking for who will tell us the mind of God concerning us. We have direct access to God.
I am not talking about God-feeling on instinct. I am talking about a talking relationship.
This message is for people who have given their lives to God and want a deeper relationship with God.
In HGS, we understand dreams and visions which are God’s preferred ways of communicating with His children.
