PREPARE FOR WAR IN 2022
If you are reading this, it means you won the battles of 2021. Now is the time to move to a higher ground and this movement always come with a fight.
As Christians, we know that before any physical manifestation of success, we must win a spiritual fight
2022 will not be a walk in the park for those who want to follow the way of Christ. It will not be a walk in the park for those who want to achieve their divine purpose for 2022. So the earlier we come to terms with this truth, the safer for us.
A lot of people were taken unawares last year because they never expected the challenges that came their way. And by the time the challenge came, it was too late to prepare.
The best new year message you will hear in this January is –Â PREPARE FOR WAR.
No serious soldier ever underrate an enemy. David never underrated Goliath, instead, Goliath underrated David.
Your Goliath for 2022 is already at the battle ground waiting for you. This time, he knows better than to underrate you. He will do everything spiritually possible to stop you. And you must pass through that battle ground to your next level. There is no other way.
Nothing will take the place of preparation if we must win the war of 2022. We must align ourselves with God’s strategy. David relied on God to defeat Goliath. He knew that the physical fight must first be won in the spiritual realm.
He said in 1Samuel 17:46 “Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!”
Without God, Goliath would have crushed David. But they that know their God will be strong and do exploit. You could see that Goliath was already defeated spiritually before the physical battle took place.
The enemy’s biggest weapon is ignorance. This is why the Bible says in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”
A lot of sweet prophesy has gone forth and we have be claiming them. But we have not considered the “how”. Except we follow the plan of God for 2022, we may not see the end.
Let us start the year with finding the mind of God concerning our lives. This is a role no nobody can play on our behalf. We must align ourselves with God’s will for our lives.
Below are some of the things I suggest we do from the beginning of the year.
Rededicate your life to God. Ensure that your life and character is in line with God’s word. Live everyday with the fear of God in your heart. The love of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Meet with God daily. Keep a covenant time to ensure you do not miss a day without fellowshipping with God. This is where we get direction for each day. It is in the place of fellowship we are empowered to face the day. You cannot afford to treat God casually and expect him to handle you like a covenant.
Psalms 91:1
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Fear not. We must live each day with faith in God. Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.”
We are not expected to live in fear. No matter what happens around us. We must believe wholeheartedly that our God is able to deliver us even from the mouth of the lion. It doesn’t matter what you are going through presently. It doesn’t matter what the doctor has said. If you will seek the face of God early in the year, you will finish strong.
Pray as often as possible. James 5:16b “…The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
It is in the place of prayer we win our battles. Only a praying Christian can win the war of 2022.
You must pray as if your life depends on it because it does depend on it.
Give thanks daily. Do not wait for new month or year end to give thanks to God. Let us live a life of thanksgiving. God is happy when we are grateful. It shows we are aware that we are alive by his grace.
Learn to say thank you Jesus just because.
If you want peace in 2022, prepare for war!
May the good Lord keep you under his wings throughout 2022.
