KINGDOM FINANCING (TITHES, OFFERINGS, SEEDS, VOWS ETC)

There is this popular claim that pastors have put prosperity preaching or kingdom financing above salvation. This is not the case.

Most pastors do not preach financial giving above salvation. What they do is that they preach financial giving above spiritual maturity. That is why people struggle with giving. They can’t see the reason for it.

Why are we eager to collect money from those who God did not ask to give? That giving is in the bible, is not enough. Sacrificing to God is in the bible but sacrificing your only son has to be an instruction directly from God –

Genesis 22:1-2 “And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.”

That is where the problem lies. It takes divine revelation to understand kingdom financing. Kingdom financing is not giving out of convenience. It is a sacrificial giving. Nobody does sacrifice just because they feel like or because they have plenty goats that they are not using.

The reason why most people do not get rewarded for their giving is because they do not know the correct reason for giving. So they give ignorantly and most times grudgingly or out of fear. The principle of sowing and harvesting is universal, general and peripheral (elementary) to core kingdom financing. Kingdom financing is way above that.

Kingdom financing is a warfare. It can be liking to funding a country’s military during war. This revelation can only be understood by matured believers. The kingdom of darkness does not lack funding like the body of Christ do. Even “Christians” most times, ignorantly fund the kingdom of darkness. Any activity that does not give glory to God, gives glory to Satan.

Kingdom financing is not done based on logic. It is beyond logic. Even many pastors do not understand kingdom financing and the essence. That is why they use God’s money to satisfy their carnality.

Using myself as an example, God tells me when to give and who to give in the furtherance of His gospel. Sometimes He tells me the amount and when He doesn’t tell me the exact amount, and I give below His expectations (war with flesh), He tells me how much I am owing him. I get amazed by that and I give the balance joyfully. Do you know what it is for God to ask you for money? I am not talking about alter call.

God has never asked me to give when I do not have. He has however told me many times to give the little I have. Just last month He told me that the money I have in savings was not meant for savings and He told me where to channel it. Sometimes we keep money in anticipation of calamity. No investment plan, but “just in case something bad happens.” That’s not how Christians should live.

Proverbs 3:14 “For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold.”

Giving to your family, friends and the poor is supposed to be done as a normal way of life. And the reward is different from giving to the church. The idea that it is better to spend your tithes on the poor than to give it to the church is demonic. It is the wisdom of the devil. I used to think that way. Those of you that are into rituals, you know you cannot try it with the devil but you chorus it whenever you hear baby Christians and agents of Satan make that statement. Can you take the goat meant for sacrifice and prepare it for your parents to eat? You won’t dare!

A lot of supposed Christians will catwalk into hell thinking they are going to heaven. Heaven is not by assumption. You must know who you serve one-on-one. You are relying on your pastors like a traveler rely on a travel agent. Heaven is not abroad.

You argue that tithing is old testament but Abraham’s blessing that you claim everyday is in the book of revelation I guess.

If you think your pastor is eating church money, you should look for another church. God cannot bless you through a prophet that you despise. But remember that God doesn’t need your money in heaven. He needs it in the field. The bible says money is a defense. You cannot purchase warplane and keep it in the White House. It has to be deployed to the battlefield.

Tithe is not used as a burnt offering and the smoke sent to heaven. The money is spent by the church. Your pastor will eat, his wife and children will eat. His wife will buy new shoe, yes, new dress. Workers will be paid and equipment will be purchased or serviced etc. If that is too hard for you, you are not matured enough to partner with God in the area of finance.

Proverbs 3:9‭-‬10 “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.”

If your pastor is not emphasizing holiness and spiritual maturity, look for another church.

There are things we cannot say in public just like that. It may end up injuring the already wounded children. You do not throw bones around, because some kids may pick them up and break their milk teeth while trying to chew them. They are reserved for adult.

Hebrews 5:12 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.”

This confusion about giving is totally the fault of Christian leaders. We do not emphasize spiritual maturity. How can you be a Christian for 10years and you do not hear from God? You think that is normal? This is the reason why we are easily swayed by the doctrines of men and easily confused by carnal admonitions.

Dear pastors, when your church members are spiritually matured, you will not need to cajole them to give, God will convince them. But we are not even willing to allow them mature because a discerning member will not fund your carnality as a pastor. So you prefer to keep them blind and milk them for personal aggrandizement.

My advice to all Christians. You need to understand that giving to further God’s plan, is called kingdom partnership. When you partner with God, you will understand what it means to be safe in a dangerous world. But you can never attain such level without spiritual maturity. It is not what anyone can explain. Only the Holy Spirit can bring you to that level. All you can do is to desire it and ask Him for help.

Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

God will not come from heaven to buy church bus or to help pay the school fees of a pastor who has given his full time to ministry. If you think it is foolishness to fund God’s kingdom, no problem. Nobody says you must do. My only advice is that you should get closer to God daily.

It is the height of human reasoning and ignorance to compare Japan to Nigeria or Dangote to a believer, vis-à-vis tithing. It is a gross lack of understanding. “Is Dangote paying tithe?” “Are there Christians in Japan” Lol.
