Emi lo kan – the spiritual side of Nigerian politics

 

In 2016, Dr. Reuben Abati wrote an article titled – The spiritual side of Aso Villa. In the article, he wrote – “People tend to be alarmed when the Nigerian Presidency takes certain decisions. They don’t think the decision makes sense. Sometimes, they wonder if something has not gone wrong with the thinking process at that highest level of the country. I have heard people insist that there is some form of witchcraft at work in the country’s seat of government. I am ordinarily not a superstitious person, but working in the Villa, I eventually became convinced that there must be something supernatural about power and closeness to it.”

To buttress the points made by Dr. Abati, you may also be aware that in August 2015, the immediate past vice president Namadi Sambo had a knee surgery in America and just this July 2022  vice president Yemi Osinbajo had a leg surgery. How this is a clear spiritual attack was explained by Dr. Abati

 

In February 2022, I wrote an article where I announced that a particular politician had been endorsed by the underworld to be the next president of Nigeria.

In a revelation, the Lord made it clear to me that the devil was backing that individual. The identity of the individual was also not shrouded in riddles.

The only naïve people on earth are some of the supposed children of light and those the Bible describes as the simple. These two sets of people look at the world on the surface value and based on intelligent reasoning. They do not know that there is more to life than what the eyes can see. Even when you try to educate them, they flash their PhD degree at your face. The rest people understand that wars are first fought in the spiritual realm before coming to physical.

When David confronted Goliath, he said to him in 1 Samuel 17:46 NLT “Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!”

After Abraham defeated four kings and their battle-trained soldiers in war, he met Mechizedek on his way back. Mechizedek said to him in Genesis 14:20 – “And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you.”

 

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s personal declaration that it is his turn to be the next president of Nigeria, ’emi lo kan’, was not a political statement as most people would want to believe. It was indeed a spiritual statement.

That statement was made with an unprecedented audacity that can only be given from another realm. No politician in the history of Nigerian politics has ever mocked a sitting president who is also a member of his party while declaring that it was his turn to be the next president. Tinubu, in his declaration in Abeokuta, said the president cried after losing the previous election and he, Tinubu offered to help him win and he did help him win subsequent election.

 

It is only fools that make bold statements without the backing of spiritual powers. And if you think Tinubu is a fool, you are of all men, the most ignorant.

People pay a serious price to achieve great heights in life. Whether on the side of light or on the side of darkness. There is no greatness for men who are not willing to pay the price.

I do not know the price this politician paid to have the endorsement of the devil, but I can bet it was not a small price.

It takes more than political influence to call the bluff of the entire Christian community in Nigeria. Tinubu has weighed the Nigerian Christian community and from his understanding, it is lightweight. You will notice that he is not appealing for understanding. He is very bold and cocky with his decision to fly a Muslim-Muslim ticket. He has been told by a very powerful source that he will be the next president of Nigeria, and everybody can go to blaze.

 

If you have taken time to study Tinubu, you will know that he is a very wise person. He picks his fight very carefully. Tinubu has picked this fight, not with any political party but with the Nigerian Christian community. He has done his homework and everything being equal, he will defeat the community with a landslide.

 

This write-up is a wake-up call for Christians to come out of their slumber of assumption. Very few Christians can pay the price that politicians pay to keep people under bondage. So, I do not see how you intend to win this fight. Firstly, you do not even understand the direction of the fight.

 

Everyone is talking tough, even from the pulpit. But hardly is anybody calling for corporate prayers. Who is calling God to intervene? The hallmark of the naïve! You think because something is evil, it will naturally fail. Sorry, evil does not fail just because.

 

Anybody who belongs to an occult and has gone to check, will tell you that Tinubu has been endorsed by the underworld.

 

Leadership in Nigeria is not in the hands of the Nigerian people. The devil is in charge. You may not like this statement, but we have refused to surrender to God. Christians have gone the way of Mammon.

 

Aso Rock is a dark place that nobody enters except the person who has the endorsement of Satan, or he has the spiritual power and authority of Jesus.

 

My message to Christians is that of repentance. We must repent and go back to God for help.

 

2 Chronicles 7:14 “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”

 

We must be ready to combine our PVC with corporate prayer to defeat the enemy. The enemy is the devil. He should not continue to call the shot in Nigeria.

If we decide to undermine this call, the election may be rigged, and any public protest will be met with military massacre. Guess what will happen after the massacre? Same thing that happened after the October 2020 Lekki massacre – Nothing!

 

Territories are conquered in the spirit first, before possession is taken in the physical. Nigeria is presently not in the hands of Christians but in the hands of the devil. This is because our focus is not on Jesus but on Mammon.

Things that can be done to ensure the enemy does not prevail in 2023:

 

• The body of Christ must now focus on Jesus and not on the world.
• The Christian community should be more united and pray in harmony. A corporate prayer is essential currently.
• People should be encouraged to get their PVC
• The Christian Association of Nigeria should come up with a plan to provide any endorsed political party with ward agents across the country for free.
• Churches should be ready to invest financially in this election by funding voters’ education, appealing to the conscience of security agents to be neutral before, during and after the election.
