HOPE YOU WON’T FORGET ME WHEN YOU GET  THERE?

This was a question God asked me when I was preparing to leave Nigeria. It is like a light unto my path.

One day, I posted about Jesus in a WhatsApp group that has only Nigerians living in this particular country as members. If it were a physical gathering, they would have killed me that day.

“Why are you posting about religion here?” “Why are you posting about Jesus?” “If I post about LGBTQ, how will you feel?” And so many talks. This is a group where 98% of the posts add no value. Just about football and memes. And may I add that the people who attacked me were Christians, at least, by identity.

The said post was not about repentance or any form of bigotry.

Then I realized why God asked me that question.

These are people who left Nigeria just a few years ago. They are people who prayed night and day to God while they were in Nigeria.

You always hear people say – 90% of the things you pray about in Nigeria, when you go abroad, you will have no reason to pray about them. Yes, it is true to a large extent.

It also exposes the fact that we only pray to God just for what we can get. There was never a genuine love. No relationship. So when we travel to a saner country, serving God becomes a letdown. It becomes an uncivilized thing to do.

People who stop serving God because they are now living a perceived better life  never knew God from the beginning. They are the fake friends of God. And God sees the heart of every one of us and loves us still.

Another thing that most people do not know is that, you will not have issues with law enforcement agents if you obey the rules and follow without questions.
How does this relate? It is the same reason why people have fewer spiritual attacks when they travel abroad.

When you stop praying, the powers that govern the territory where you live will not notice you. Once you blend with the rules, you will be fine. The ultimate idea is not to make you poor but to make you miss heaven. A prayerless person will not attract any attention in the spiritual realm.

Those evil people in your family may not run after you anymore because you are now in the hands of their allies. But with special arrangement, you can be snatched suddenly without a fight. So, why fight you? You are no longer a threat. You do not pray anymore.

A lot of people do not even believe that there are territorial demarcation in the spirit realm. The witches disturbing you in Nigeria, will need authorization to continue in US. But getting such pass is very easy. That’s why you see people amounting to nothing abroad apart from “social media progress”.

While it is true that in Africa, we pray concerning things that can be solved with technology, the risk is that we do not even know the difference until the doctor says “I’m sorry, there is nothing more we can do.” Then we start to call our pastors in Nigeria.

Proverbs 1:24-28

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

25 But ye have set at naught all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

And do not let anyone deceive you. People who have home problems still travel with it. There are a lot of people abroad who are going through spiritual issues. Many are in jail because of the issues they have at home.

Every territory has powers that govern it and their area of interest differs. The mentality that is prevalent in your environment is what people take to the spiritual realm.

The witches in Canada may not be jealous that you have a son. They do not even want to have children in the first place. They may not care if you buy a car. Everyone can have a car. But do not speak about Jesus. Keep your Jesus to yourself. Do not speak ill of sexual perversion. Stop talking about family. Talk about animals and women’s right.

People are marching to hell in their numbers.

Our people know how to conform when it comes to these things. After-all, we never knew God on a personal level. We only went to church like a dome in Israel, for cover.

1 John 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”

God does not want to lose us because He blessed us. God wants a relationship. Stop thinking you are too intelligent to be spiritual.

So, you pray to God for one help or the other…hope you will not forget God when you get there?
